Hey WD! I was just thinking about your "Crocker", and thumbing through the latest issue of "The Horse/Backstreet Choppers". Inside is a killer article on how to make your own struts and convert ANY bike from a twin-shock job to a hardtail. No frame modifications necessary, just remove the shocks and bolt them on! I'm gonna do it to my Intruder. BUTT! (pun intended) I am also going to keep my shocks around just in case I wish I had them on long road trips. They will fit in my saddlebags, and I can swap them out whenever my back/backside deems appropriate. (I have some BIG saddlebags from Willie & Max) Y'all let me know if you want the info. I can send it via email, or tell you which issue to buy so you can see it for yourself. I recomend buying the magazine (there are some KILLER photos of all different kinds of bikes--this issue has a very tricked out Honda CB750 chopper). Anyway, I think since WD has gone "1970's retro" with his Savage, the struts would be a nice touch. Now, where did I put my medication?
